Hp Lcd Monitor, Bad Back Light!

hi i have the HP F1703 LCD 17in 20ms lcd monitor, this monitor was made in 2004 of may. and for some reason the back light has just gone out. and i just got this thing! lol but when i turn it on it comes on and looks perfect, but then about 2 second later the light goes out for good, no pictue it all but i can slightly see the image its just its not lit up. and whats weird is,i can turn it off and then back on and yes about 2 seconds later it shuts off. is there anyway or where i can buy a new back light and fix this my self?
