hp dv600 series remote not working!!

I just recently got my dv6000 series laptop and my biggest problem with it is the remote does not work i have tried enabling blue tooth but that does not work. Does anyone know what to do??

Hi I have a similar laptop to you. My remote worked fine out of the box. I think it could be one of two things:

1) the battery is not in properly and is upside down.
or
2) the battery is dead.

Do you have another battery you could try?
