I need help. I recently bought this dv3000 HP laptop, and updated some programs for windows vista. Now my mouse aka touchpad is not working, so i have to use a usb mouse so i can navigate. how can i fix this?thanks

are the correct drivers installed? go in device manager and see if there is any yellow exclamation marks beside any thing.

Is the little light above the trackpad orange or blue? On my dv9000 there's a light above the trackpad along with a button, if it's orange that means the touchpad is disabled, press the button and the light should turn blue (meaning the touchpad is enabled). It is so that you don't move the mouse if you're using the keyboard (and an external mouse).
