Default How have I managed to do this ..

I tried reinstalling windows and somehow have ended up with 4 operating systems, each time on boot up it will ask me which to use. I tried deleting the partion in setup but wont let me due to it being windows.

What do I do now ?

Did you format the partition during windows setup?

it should look like this:
[boot loader]
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOW S
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

the S needs to be next to "window"
the forum puts it on a new line for some reason

Erase the other 3 OS lines in your boot.ini
