How do I update my Bios

I would like to update my Bios but I cannot find what type of Motherboard it is I have looked all over the board but cannot find the model how can I find this out so I can update my Bios?

Find and download CPU-Z

Run it and select the Motherboard tab.
More information than you will need, but It should also give you a Bios Revision Number.

I have a model number which is HP 085Ch and the current version for my Bios is 786B2 V2.43 now how do I update my Bios

considering you got a prebuilt hp/compaq ill need other info , whats the model of the pc/laptop?

I know this is a dumb question but where would I find the model for my pc is it Intel Pentium

ill try to make it more clear, when you buy a pc in one peice its considered a "prebuilt"
one peice=a whole pc as is,without selecting all of its parts yourself , and that "box" with all the parts alredy in it have a model name,like HP Pavilion A1230n , now you understand? if not then click here

It was a prebuilt pc bought off someone so I am not sure of the model name
