how to disable auto driver process

the problem is begin when my modem pctel auto driver process, and then windows xp blue death screen apperes.
how to disable this process?

so its a process in the sense you can see it in your task manager?

Id go into safemode, then go to start>run and type msconfig then press enter

Then in the new screen choose the tab startup and look for that startup process and uncheck the box then click apply and ok.

If its a driver issue you can go into safemode go to start>control panel>add and remove programs

And look for the modem driver and uninstall it unless you use it?
