My son's Alienware laptop has stopped recognising any discs.
It could be dirt in the lens - but its buried inside the laptop. Given the work involved in tearing it down its sensible to just buy a replacement drive.
However before i do that does anyone have an idea how I could clean the lens wihout dismantling the unit....don't forget its a slot drive so i suspect even an airblaster tube would not fit, any ideas welcomed,
Julian
