help with video card/monitor problem

i'm not sure if my problem lies within my video card (evga nvidia 7600gt) or my monitor (19 inch viewsonic vx922 lcd) but a red bar on the right side of my screen randomly appears and vanishes from time to time.

i had to take a pic with my camera and couldnt do a print screen since it probably wouldnt show up red on other monitors.

here's the pic:

it's really bothersome on everything black (obviously) but on everything else thats colored, the red bar is pretty dim. still annoying though.

help would be appreciated as always.

Easy Solution...sort of-obtain another monitor, hook it up and see if it does the same thing...if it does it's the video card...if not it's the monitor. Case Closed
