It's driving me nuts!

Installed a new motherboard/cpu etc today with a fresh install of XP Pro. It has onboard graphics ASRock Motherboard - Product - ALiveNF6G-DVI - Overview

My problem is that I get an out of range error when booting into windows, right from where the windows loading logo should appear. If I unplug the monitor and then plug it in again it's fine. It's a TFT monitor and have used it for ages. It's only set to 1024 x 768 and 72mhz refresh (same as always) and the monitor driver is installed. At first I was getting nothing and thought the pc was gubbed until I checked with my old monitor.

My old 17" monitor works fine with it. I've installed all the drivers from the setup disk and installed all windows updates. Tried putting the refresh rate right down to 60 and res to 800x600.

Any ideas?
