Welcome to TF!

What did you last update before the computer froze/restarted? What does the data report say?

Go to the system event log. Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer

browse through the logs to the time you experienced the crash. Should be a yellow exclamation mark or a red X there. Post up what it says.

i recently replaced everything but the harddrive and graphics card, ive tried removing the graphics card which i got just before christmas a ASUS 4670 uninstalled its drivers, rolled back drivers then system restored to a month before i got the card, but i got this problem agen within 15minutes of starting the pc up, so i just put it back in and reinstalled alot of the software along with its drivers, it sorted problems i had with the graphics card before(games unable to load, everytime i tried going fullscreen it would restart computer) cept when its doing it now its making a funny noise just as it restarts.

ok this is happening around the same time as the crashes,

dont see how this would crash it as its saying something about being in the folder of msn messenger, but these are definatly showing at around the same time as the crashing, when ive reported the crashes with the popup that appears on desktop loadup, it says that it was caused by a bluescreen and they are unable to find the source, ill try getting a screenshot of the text on the website if its any help at all when i get another crash.

Check the solutions on the following page:

Event ID: 447 in Windows Server SBS

Quote:
1.Click Start, click Run, type cmd in the Open box, and then OK.
2.At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2\Edb.log *.tst
