dont amd board have a clip holding the cpus?

make sure you dont touch the bottom of the cpu, and also make sure the paste doesnt get on the cpu or the socket.

Ste, I thank you. After reassembly, it all worked out. I don't know if switching the ram to open slots did it or not, but at this point it does not matter.
