This is a work related question that no one in my office can seem to figure out, and im wondering if anyone on here might know.

We have a Cluster Mirrored set up to a SAN.
SQL 2000 Installed

Throughout the day clients experience random slow downs in applications they are running. Sometimes its 10 seconds sometimes its 5 minutes.

I suspect that the drives on the SAN may not be setup correctly and they get overloaded at times when reading and writing.

I know I have not listed exact specs because I do not know them as I write this.

Could anyone point me in the right direction in setting up some sort of Counters in System performance to monitor things?

If thats not correct, any ideas on what I should be monitoring and where to start.

Thanks
