what exactly do you mean by " I've opened it up" ? the hd platters are highly sensitive and should never be exposed to even the slightest bit of dust thats why data recovery companies have "clean rooms" if you exposed the platters to dust youll never be able to get the data back i highly doubt a professional data recovery company will be able to recover it aswell , a person should never attempt to open the hd its stupid not only it voids the warranty he'll gain nothing from doing so and might even wreck it up+the platters issue
