hey i have a pavilion a250n and i took out the drives the hd the dvd and cd drive the floppy and the memorycard reader...and now when i start my computer up it says...Reboot and Select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key....what should i do...all i did was take out the drives for a couple of days and put them back now it wont boot to windows//// thanks

did you connect all of the drives to the proper connector on the cables?

EG: IDE1 = hdd (master)

IDE2 = DVD (master) cd (slave)

so, make sure that the hdd is the only device on the first ide cable, and the cd and dvd drives should be on the other cable. make sure all the drives have power, and make sure that the floppy is connected correctly. and the memory card reader, was it ide, or usb?

thanks for the help..its my mistake...i connected all the drives right....its just that i forgot to put the power supply to the hd...such a relief...thanks
