Help computer wont start !!

Hi guys found this site and im hoping i can get some help to fix my computer.


I have a dell Amd , Windows Vista Home Basic

I dont know what the **** i did! but my computer wont load properly. After the loading screen it goes black for about a 40 seconds and then to a a blue error screen then restarts it self. The only way for me to get to windows is if i load it in safe mode!

How can i trouble shoot this , find out what the problem is...

Are you able to write down what the error screen says? What is the reference code? Do it reference a drive rname?

My first guess is either a hard drive issue or a driver issue since it loads okay in safemode.

Next time you're in safemode try scheduling a scandisk on your hard drive to scan for and automatically repair file system errors.

Start in safe mode and then go to your control panel. Go to admin tools event viewer. click on the left hand names like applications,system,security, and such.When you see errors marked in red or yellow right click on them then go to properties and read what they say. That will give you some clues as to what your problem is.
