Default hdtv cable?

I got an hdtv cable with my evga geforce 7600gt.

It has Blue, Green, and red wires. The other end is S-Video that plugs into the computer.

Does that connect to the yellow, red, and white wires? I am confused.

No. The Blue, Green and Red are "Component" cables. RWY are RCA.

Component is only for Video, it carries no audio.

If you are aiming to hook your vid card up to an HDTV, use the converter and get a set of component cables to hook up your TV.

If you hooking up to a non-HDTV, use an S-Video cable.
