Smile HDD Question

I know that this might be a kind of silly question. If I want to add another HDD in a PC that already has an OS how do i go about partitioning and formatting the drive? Where I get the option?

In the O/S itself. In 2000/XP you would use disk management. Right click my computer>>manage>>disk management

um, is this just a drive for storage or are you going to dual boot with another o/s? if using disk management like said above it will ask you the amount of space to use, the file alloc table type and then it will format it for you and ready to use as a slave drive.

we need to know how the drive is going to be used. i suggest downloading some partitioning/formatting software. i use RPM, not sure if it's still the best option but it worked for me when i downloaded it some time back and i've used it ever since. but RPM is mainly for multi-boot systems.

It is to be used as storage, not to multi-boot. so since it already has an OS on the other drive, how do i partition it?
