Default HDD not being read.

I have a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500gbytes. ST3500630AS. My teacher said he accidently kicked the external hdd. After that he is not able to read the HDD. I took it out of the external case and made it internal. Still doesnt see it. It turns on but it beeps with about 5 to 10 second intervals. Let me know what I can do. Hope its not completely done. Thnx

Sorry but it sounds as if the read head id gone. Which makes the drive dead.
