So HD playback lags on Youtube, and with regular videos.
720P, and especially 1080P

I'm on Windows XP SP3

Intel Cleleron F 2.6GHz
768MB of RAM
GeForce 6200 PCI 256MB

Yeah its old (Getting a new PC next week check out my thread, haha), but I'd think it could play HD?
Is my computer just to much crap to play it, or is there a fix?

I just tried to play a 720p file, didn't even see the video, the sound was fine, and my computer started freezing then it restarted.
What's up with that?
I tried with WMP9, never bothered to upgrade to 11 yet.

Media Player Classic: Home Cinema can use DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA) to play back videoes. It is especially useful for 1080p video which uses a lot of resources to play.
However, I suspect even your 6200 may lack the power to handle 1080p video using DXVA.

Basically, I'd say you need faster hardware.

Definitely need better hardware for lag-free HD playback.
