Recently got a P D 820, Asus P5LD2 Deluxe, eVGA 7800GT, 2x512 OCZ. Everything is fine...detects my HDs at POST. I went into the BIOS and it doesn't detect anything in the way of HDs. I know it is connected in the right spot, so I unplugged all HDs but the one I want to put the OS onto. Computer starts to boot from the WIN XP cd and then all of a sudden I get a BSOD. It says something about harddrives and such. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

make sure the sata controller is enabled in the bios , also are you aware that if your sata hard drive have a molex & sata power connectors your not suppost to use both at the same time? doing so could possibly fry it , also you might need to use an sata driver floppy (check motherboard manual to know for sure, usally with modern chipsets you only need to use it when using raid) and if you do need to use an sata driver floppy and you dont have a floppy drive then simply integrate it with nlite http://www.nliteos.com/
