Default hd error

anything I can do for this or is HD shot? Tried running chkdsk /r to no avail.

Anything under "Show Details" ?

Check event viewer to see if there are messages about the HDD failing.

My guess is the drive is failing and SMART is probably reporting that it's close to failing. Backup the files that are on the drive and look into getting a new HDD.

Download / install HDTune: HD Tune website
Click the Health tab and see what it reports as well.

It is saying drive is failing and to bkp drives. Have an extra drive sitting on my couch that i will throw in it.
