Hello, I just bought a new PC after the last one got a outdated.
The specs are:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Conroe E6750 2.66GHz FSB 1333, 4MB CPU
CPU Fan: Intel Original Socket 775 CPU Fan
Memory: 4GB DDR II 667 Memory 240 Pin (Kingston)
Motherboard: ASUS P5N-E SLI nVidia 650i Motherboard
Hard Drive: Western Digital 160GB 7200RPM 8MB Cache Serial ATA II
Optical Drive: LG 20X DVD RW + Dual Layer SATA w/ Lightscribe Technology
SLI Video 1: nVidia GeForce 8600GT Super 512MB DDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI HDTV
SLI Video 2: nVidia GeForce 8600GT Super 512MB DDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI HDTV
Audio Realtek ALC883 6-channel 3D Audio
Network Card 10/100/1000 Gigabit Lan Network Card
Ports 6 USB 2.0 Ports, 1 Parallel, 1394a
Power Supply 550 Watt Optimax Dual Fan Power Supply

Now first of all installing the OS the first was easy and had no problems. When I was installing all the drivers for the MB and the graphics cards my cat tripped on the wire to the power supply.

I restarted the machine and everything seemed fine but after the Windows XP logo with the loading bag was done it was just showing a black screen. Nothing happens it's just a black screen. I checked the MB and it was all fine, I could check the BIOS and stuff.

Now I am assuming it's XP because when I tried to pop in the installation cd, it just stops at "Windows is starting set up" or something similar, even after leaving for 10 min it's the same message again.

Does anyone have any clues to what may be the problem? I am getting worried because I just had this computer yesterday.

Thanks for your time.
