Did you mount the motherboard to the case using the brass stand-offs or did you mount it directly to the case? If you did use the stand-offs did you make sure they all lined up with the holes on the motherboard.

The stand-off's must be used and if any of them are out of place the PC will not power up.

If you're using a SCSI interface (a wide gray serial cable attaching your hard disk and such to your motherboard), then some computer manufacturers allow the cable to be connected both backwards and forwards. Try pulling the SCSI cable out of your motherboard, turn it 180 degrees and plug it back in.

Thats in the old days, TieFighter. All current PATA cords are marked with a blocked pin hole. I do not think this uis the cause, though. His computer doesn't turn on, period.

try re-attaching everything.
also make sure you plugged in the CPU 8-pin into the CPU power socket, and not the PCI-E 8 pin.
(don't ask me how, but seems like someone has done it before.)
