having probelms

I have a dell studio one 1909. I went and downloaded a update for my driver from the dell website and restarted cpu and it has never worked again. the fan works, but no screen. power button lights up mother board beeps when ram is removed hard drive runs there is just no picture how can i fix this?:

update what? restarted the computer? That would be BIOS driven, nothing to do what you just updated on your OS.

Try running it on bare essentials, ONLY motherboard/cpu, 1 stick of RAM, unless you have onboard video GFX too.
