Default Hardware Diagnostic Utilities

I'm curious to learn what type of hardware diagnostic utilities should be considered as "must have" in the hardware arena, regardless if they are free or not. MB, memory, processor diagnostics basically that would be of assistance.

Another (free) choice is PC Wizard 2009 - Download. It's free, AND has a very detailed hardware output without being too much.
