A harddrive in the system reports it may fail

I received that message right now and then it launched "Intel Matrix Storage Console". So it says my C drive may fail. How does this happen? Is it because I only have 30 gigabytes left in my harddrive (out of a total of 250 gb)?
Also sometimes my computer just shuts down for no reason (i've had this problem once in a while). Is that due to overheating or leaving the computer on too long?

Mechanical hard drives do fail, they do not last forever. I would back up your data and replace the drive ASAP.

Check your temperatures and post results. It could be heat or a faulty power supply.

How do I check the temperature of my harddrive? also, my computer is not even a year old yet. How could this happen? Plus my computer has liquid cooling so isn't supposed to keep the parts cool? I copied and pasted the report from the computer. I don't think the information could be used against me so i'll paste it here.

Check the temperatures of your CPU to see if overheating is causing the rebooting issue. If your bios says that about your hard drive consider it gone soon.

definitely make sure the drive is cool enough. my 80gb drive exhibited signs of "failure" when it was actually overheating.

There is a feature on your hard drive, that if enabled, gives you that message after your HD hours pass the manufacturers defined operations limits: HD SMART (something or other: I'm at work on a network with no admin rights so I can't look in this puters bios.) sounds to me like you are getting that SMART disk manufacturers warning.
