Default Harddrive Problems!

Hi, my hard drive just recently died on me. But in the BIOS its still there.
When I turn on my computer. It loads to the Window Splash Screen and the screen turns black and stays there for a minute, then I hear the hard drive restart itself.

I don't know what to do anymore.

it could just be your windows installation that is dead. try a reformat and reinstall of windows. if it fails to reformat and re-install then you can start to say its dead.

So if reinstall fails, reformat is the only option? Thanks for the reply btw.

I would try to reinstall and then if that doesn't work reformat. I just had the same problem. And that worked for me. Good Luck

Ok well, I couldn't reinstall cause Windows didn't let me, so I disabled the automatic restart when start-up fails. Now I get the BSoD and it says:
STOP: c0000135 [unable To Locate Component]
This application has failed to start because msvcrt.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Any suggestions?
