Harddrive keeps going to PIO Mode

is your drive sata or ide?
if its ide, get a better cable. if its sata, get a better cable and update ur sata/raid drivers.
also, what type and wattage of a psu are u running, because a unintended hdd click can point to a failing psu or woefully underpowered psu.

Sorry, forgot to mention it's IDE. It wasn't the cables since I swapped out a couple of them. The PSU isn't the issue either (since I tried unplugging a lot of extras to see if that was the case - But it's an Antec 450w I believe).
It usually fixes itself by uninstalling the Primary IDE and letting Windows re-detect it although that wasn't working this time. I just re-updated my chipset drivers and then uninstalled the Primary IDE controller. Right now it seems to be running great (Slave is in Ultra DMA 6) and no signs of it causing any choppiness or slow loading.
