chances are it isnt a trojan. Although im not really sure what it is, sounds to me like its either:

1. a real old hard drive

or

2. you got some dirt or some **** in there and now its scraping.

just buy a new hd

"Just go buy a new hd"

Common he doesnt need to go buy a new hd it may not even be the problem. I would suggest that you do nothing and if it never happens again dont worry about it. If it does then take it apart or get it looked at if you cant find the problem. Also just to be sure run a scan.

are you 100% sure the sound was from the hd? some psus makes a hissing sound sometimes , maybe it was a click sound?
its not unusual for hds to make a single click when being powered on/off many hds do that its perfectly normal and its very common for the hd to get powered off on a bsod/random restart/when psu voltages are unstable , theres possibly nothing wrong with your hd and as i alredy said maybe it wasnt even from the hd , better get it checked just to be sure. every hd manufacturer have a diagnostic software that you can easily find on its site

check mobo for bad capacitors (perferably with a flashlight) see examples

download everest http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html get into computer-->sensor and take a screenshot

taking it a part is very bad thing to do for several reasons
1) it will likely void the warranty
2) the hd platters are sealed real tight, if they will be exposed to the air just forget about ever getting back the data even a professional data recovery company wont be able to retireve it
3) a person with no hd electronics/mechanics knowledge and without the right equipment should never even attempt to do it he'll gain nothing from it , leave what you dont know for the pros
