does usb connection have limited acess to harddrive compared to IDE?
seems like it cant do certain operations when fixing surface.logical errors so it pops an error message that it cannot continue or something like that
It will read the harddrive as a harddrive no matter what way it is connected to the computer. You should see the same errors on a USB connection that you would if it's internal SATA or IDE.
first of all it takes alot longer to run an error check thru usb and sometimes it wouldnt even run unless i plug it in one of the IDE channels in my desktop
