"A hard drive in the system reports that it may fail"

i get the little pop-up bubble at the corner of my screen, but when i click to see which hard drive it is i get:

All hard drives are okay
Detail
System is fuctioning normally.


i don't understand then what's wrong!
should i be worried?

If you hear a clicking sound from the hard drive, then you should be worried. But regardless if it says the hard drive is function normally, you should ALWAYS, always backup your important data.

That message though could be telling you that there is a possibility that the hard drive might fail. So it's best to take pre-caution and backup, as well as be ready to replace the hard drive.
 
I think that'd be S.M.A.R.T (which is kind of like a self-check drive utility thing which alerts you when sectors start to fail).

Back up your stuff asap.
 
1st back up all data. Then go to the manufactures web site for your hard drive and download their hard drive utility to check it out. They will let you know if you have bad sectors and if the drive should be replaced.
