Hard drive question

This is a question from an A+ practice test, but I think they are wrong.

What are the advantages FAT32 has over FAT16 (choose all that apply)

1.FAT32 has reduced cluster size
2.FAT32 supports larger partitions
3.FAT32 supports long file names
4.FAT32 enables you to set file level permissions

Now I thought it was 1 and 2, which turn out to both be right but it also says 3 is. I thought fat 16 supported long file names, since windows decoyed it somehow.

Also in their explanation of the answers they said the partition size on FAT32 is 2 terabytes, I'm pretty sure it's 137 gb however. Any one willing to clear this up?

well I know the partition size on fat32 is deffinitely 2tb but as for the file name length, I think you may have something there, it has been a while since I used a system running fat16 to compare to, but I recall a major change in there somewhere with file name length...


the 127Gib you are talking about is what windows sees, not the actual partition size capable
