Hard Drive Problem

I have had Windows 7 installed on my computer for a month with no problems. last night I turned off my computer and turned it on today for use and the hard drive is no longer recognized. Windows 7 will not boot and the hard drive is not showing up in the bios Sata 2 device listing. Any thoughts?

Does the drive spin up anymore? (Can you feel/hear it engage?) What brand/model is it? If it's a SeaGate 7200.11, what is the exact model (on the label) as well as the firmware of the drive?
