Hey ya'll, i just got my pc put together about an hour ago. I go to install Vista, and it cannot find my Hard drive. When i open up BIOS, i can see the HD. I've moved the jumper around on it, and it doesn't seem to make a difference. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

Try CS Cable Select. You may need to make a primary partition on the disk first. Do you have a Hard drive utility disk. If not use a windows 98 boot disk abd type fdisk.

lol sorry man i'm not that computer savy...yet. Can you give me a little better description of what you mean?

On the hard drive there is a jumper and you can put the jumper on the two CS pins which is cable select. And sometimes when you buy a drive you have a utility disk with it to get the disk setup to use. You can download the disks from most hard drive vendors site's.

Also with vista, if the drive is formatted with fat or fat32 it won't see the drive. You need to either totally blank the drive, or re-format to NTFS
