Hard Drive issue?

Well after all the problems I've been encountering, I'm thinking that my hard drive is the culprit. I'm going to try and return/exchange it tomorrow.


After connecting my hard drive to the build, am I suppose to set anything else up? Such as in the mobo or anything I'm suppose to download to make the hard drive work?


Well to make things easier- What is the first step after connecting the hard drive to the computer (with wires).
