when i try to turn on my computer with my other hard drive in it says diskette drive 1 seek failure and nothing happens but when i put this one in and turn it on it says it but quickly goes and loads windows and everything is fine, there is no floppy disk in and i made sure everything is plugged in correctly anyone know what my problem is? could the harddrive be no good anymore?

You need a floppy in to have a normal hardrive (i have no idea why but thats how it is), try having your main one in and just use the old one as secondary.
