Default Hard drive dissapearance

I have two seagate barricudas, 320gig a piece. Used to come up in my compter as c and d drives. now d aint there... wtf man, anyone any ideas? ive tried restarting and i will check it's physically connected tomorrow. ****ing me off royally, if its lost the data contained theres gonna be real problems for it, in the form of a baseball bat, and a stream of ****

it is possible the cable on one of the drives has worked itself loose, especially if it's a SATA drive. i've had this happen on more than one occassion.
