Hard Drive Died

I backed up all my files on a external HDD, but now that it died, I have a spare HDD to use and was wondering if Windows will work on the new HDD? P.S. The XP cd is OEM.

it should, just hook the HD up and boot from the CD and install XP.
I don't see why it would not work, it is THE SAME computer overall.
