I plugged my hard drive into its IDE cable when a pin was off centre. The pin bent without me realizing anything was wrong. I turned on the computer and it didnt work (NO surprise there).
I figured out the initial problem, and put the pin back. Plugged in the IDE cable propperly, and turned on the computer again. This time the computer didnt work either. The sound when a hard drive is recognised (the beep) sounded every second instead of just the once.
I tried plugging in the hard drive with just the power cable, and got the same continuous beep. The computer works fine with other hard drives, and the bad hard drive was working before I disconnected it.
Is the any way I could possibly revive the dead hard drive?
