Hard Drive

hi, I am trying to make an external hard drive with a Western Digital 120 GB EIDE hard drive. Is there any sort of free software I can use to erase my hard drive and also if a regular IDE to Usb connection will work with EIDE?

You can reformat it with windows but you need to make a dummy file on the entire drive to totally erase it. Yes, IDE to USB will work.
