Yesterday I spent the day trying to get an 8.45GB Fujitsu hard disk NOT to be identified as a 17GB one.
I was sure I'd tried it but I set the BIOS back to auto detect and LBA disk - Bingo it worked.
This morning i swapped it to my other pc and backed up the data - no problem.
Back in it's own box now it is 17GB again.
My thoughts are that once it's warmed up it cant identify itself to the BIOS correctly the BIOS is up to date and the disk's reasonably new.
Anyone any ideas?
