Well... it's not actually getting too hot, i don't think. Just showing all the signs. Once i forgot to turn the fan above 30% and it overheated in about 5 minutes, that was obviously a temp issues. However:

I am running latest beta drivers, and have MSI Afterburner set up so it's like this:

72c = 75%fan
80c = 83%fan
86c = 88%fan
90c = 92%fan

When i play shogun2 total war, after about 20 to 30 minutes i get a patterened grid of multicolored pixels and my system hangs. It's asif the gpu is overheating, anyway last time it happened i managed to alt tab after about a second and MSI Afterburner reported it at 69c... which isn't that hot for a fermi :(

Any ideas ?

I would set the fan for 60% minimum and 100% at 80C.

Just because they say it can run up to 90C doesn't mean you should ever allow it to get there. My GTX 480's have never ran in the 80C even when overvolted and overclocked. And then I still wasn't happy so I bought a pair of Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme Plus Coolers (at $60 apiece, shop around) and now my cards are near silent and they stay in the 60C - 70C range at full load.
