GTX 260 Auto Fan Control?

Is there anyway setup GTX so that the fan changes from, say, 35% in 2D mode, to 70% in 3D mode?

I am trying to do it with Rivatuner 2.09. Crysis and COD4 lock up with the slower, less than audible fan speeds. Any way to do this other than deal with the noise or set it each time I play a game?

only one way...leave it on auto control. i am using one right now with auto and it works fine. not very loud at idle and ramps up with games.
