Default Graphics issues with fairly new system...

Ok, so we built my friend a PC almost a year ago.

AMD 64 4000
2 Gigs OCZ RAM
evga 7900 GT

Didnt have any problems until a few weeks a go when the graphics started going wonky on some games.

ie: Playing Command & Conquer; after 5 minutes block graphics start appearing over units and structures. PLaying BF2; textures go all strange and blocky. THis seems to happen in ALL games now, and the games get real glurky and in most cases crash shortly after.

We've updated all drivers and cannot seem to figure this out. COuld this be a hardware issue? It JUSt started happening for no apparent reason, 14 months after we built it.

sounds as if the card has gone whacked I'm afraid. Is it still under warranty? If so, time for RMA.

Is there a fan on the card? If so, check it for dust. Sounds like it's either overheating or it's just gone bad - shorted, possibly?
