Hi all,
Start by saying the problem. My computer was running fine, then one time when I tried to turn on my computer it got pass the BIOS, however at the windows logo my computer screens turned off. I think its due to the video card turning off. When the screens turn off a red light also appears on the video card. Its a ATI Sapphire 5770. At the same time Ive noticed that on my hardware monitor my 12V is only at 11.756 if that contributes to anything. At first I thought it was the power supply at fault, however when using my inbuilt video card my computer is able to run fine. The 12V also appears to be at 11.987V . I currently have a 1000W power supply, so it should be able to run everything fine. However it is now a couple years old.
Im just curious to what I should do at this point?

While it may have 1000W, it may not have the amperage that your video card needs. Did you try the 5770 in a different PCI-E slot?

Havent tried it in another PCI-E slot, but its been working fine for a bit over a year now
