Long story short. Someone gave me an nvidia fx 5700 ultra graphics card. It stopped working for them and I basically just wanted to see if it could be salvaged so I can use it on one of my emachines.
Heres what happens.
I plug it into the agp slot (the original graphics card on the computer is integrated nvidia geforce 4 mx), plug in power, plug monitor into the card then I turn it on. Complete black screen. I can tell the computers booting up as normal from the sounds it usually makes when it boots. Another thing its not all black it changes to different shades of black during the different stages start up process, and the monitor gives the "no signal from input device" (something to that affect) message.
Anyways if you ever had it happen and know what the problem could be and if its salvagable let me know. Thx.
