Graphic card problem

hi all
i have a geforce gt220 graphic card (yeah i know..)
but for some reason on some of the games i try to check on "can you run it" the site shows i have Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400
is it possible my machine uses the wrong graphics card?im a bit of a newbie in all this so..simple words if you may...

Have you went to NVIDIA and Downloaded the drivers for your card?

Well, to start at the beginning... Are you sure that your monitor is plugged into the correct VGA/DVI port? You may be plugged into your integrated graphics output mistakenly. Also, you may want to check your bios for graphical settings.
