Question Gpu lowers game FPS?!

Hi all!

I added a Radeon R7 250 to my desktop to allow me to do some gaming with better settings, only to find that it lowered my overall FPS. Before the R7 250, the only graphics capabilities came from my AMD A10 5800K Cpu, which gave me better frame rates than the R7 does, even though I've double checked and triple checked that the drivers are up-to-date, which is what a friend of mine suggested might be the issue.

Is the R7 250 inferior to the integrated graphics in the A10 5800K processor, am I bottle-necked somewhere, or what is going on to make the discrete graphics card slower than integrated graphics on the CPU?

Thanks for your help,
-- Gabis

Dumb question, but your monitor is hooked up to the 250 right?

And it's not set to Crossfire right? Enabling hybrid Crossfire will decrease frames. I would disable the IGP completely for best results.

If crossfire is enabled by default, I have no idea how to turn it, and whatever IGP is, off.

IGP is integrated graphics, as in the 7660d in your CPU. You can turn it off via the bios or disable it via the device manager.
