I have an older Gateway solo 9300 laptop runinng windows xp pro. lately when i start it up it asks for hdd password! I never put in a password and now it won't start up or says no operating system found. Is my hard drive shot? If so If I replace the hard drive will everything be ok with the laptop again or do I need to do more?
