Question gaming on big screen?

Hey...I'm fairly computer savvy...but theres always been one things i haven't tried, that i have wanted to try!

in this paticular matter im a bit clueless...? especially when it comes to resolutions and what not...

Will it be possible to use my computer using a geforce 6800 GS, 256 mb, 1 DVI, 1 VGA to connect to a 50 in hdtv? lol...

im guessing the answer lies somewhere along the lines of the s video outputs?

well any help will be appreciated guys...i just want to give this a try...if it looks like ****...o well...if it works...then great...I just want to try it thats all!

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELPPP!!
